Discover the joys of prague with our guide to the Prague Nightlife
For many people, Prague's nightlife is the main reason for visiting. The city has a reputation as being the "Ibiza of the north"; a place where the bars are open late and the drink flows freely.
The most popular area of Prague for nightclubs is around Wenceslas Square. Along both sides of this central square there are many bars and cafes that convert into nightclubs when the sun sets. Amongst the most popular are Duplex Dance Club, and Stonx Dance Club. There are also many bars in other areas of the city. Mala Strana and the back streets around the Old Town Square are popular spots for a night out.
Nightclubs in Prague tend to be open right through the night. They range from cheesy discos through to Ibiza style super clubs, and everything in between. Whether you are a fan of dance music or want a night out in a spit and sawdust rock bar, there will be something to suit your taste in Prague.
Because of the ready availability of alcohol and great atmosphere, as well as the low cost, Prague has become one of the top stag party destinations in Europe. Few hotels or bars make any restrictions on access to stag groups, but you should check before you book, as not everywhere will welcome you with open arms.
