One of the most instantly recognisable landmarks in Prague is the observation tower at the top of Petrin Hill. The 60m tall copy of the Eiffel Tower was built for the Exhibition in 1861. It is the best place for views over Prague.

From the top of the observation tower, you can see the whole of Prague. On a clear day, you can see Mount Snezka 100 miles away! There are 299 steps to the observation deck, and getting to the top is well worth the effort. Other attractions on Petrin Hill include the beautifully laid out gardens. This area of parkland was laid to cover up the quarries that provided the rock from which Prague was built.

A short walk down from the summit, takes you to Nebozizek Restaurant. It has a reputation as one of the best in Prague. Stunning views over the city make it a popular place to enjoy a special meal.

Petrin Hill is 318 metres tall. There are paths that lead from Mala Strana to the top. If you do not want to walk, a tram is available for around £1.25 per person.
